BMI or Body Mass Index is just one indicator used to estimate a healthy weight. In some cases, BMI can be inaccurate, especially for body builders or the young or elderly.
There is no perfect way to determine how many calories you burn, but you can use this tool to create an estimate. This tool will also tell you how many calories you need to eat to lose or gain weight safely, according to its estimate of the number of calories you burn in a day and according to the fact that one pound of fat is equivalent to roughly 3500 calories.
